I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
